The M.R.P.S was organized in 1919 by a group of Manteca and Ripon area Portuguese citizens. Originally created to provide a place for Portuguese families to gather and celebrate their heritage and religious beliefs, the M.R.P.S. has evolved into a diverse membership that continues to value family, faith, and ethnicity.
The public is welcome to attend the numerous family-oriented activities - see the Events page for a list of activities and a map to our location. Revenues from these events are used by the M.R.P.S. Board to fund high school scholarships and maintain the facility. The highlight of the hall functions is the mid-June Holy Ghost celebration (festa) which is free to everyone who wishes to attend.
